Salisbury Mushrooms with Miracle Noodles

This creation was inspired completely due to the fact that there was a ton of baby bellas staring me in the face every time I opened the refrigerator for a week.  I can't stand to see food go to waste out of sheer laziness.  This is not to say that sometimes we don't over cook (we're getting much better at not doing that) or that we simply can't get to produce fast enough (or we overbuy - this often happens with lettuce).

The creation that came about was basically a Salisbury Steak sauce minus the steak.

Salisbury Mushrooms with Miracle Noodles

1 package of Baby Bellas, sliced
1 Yellow Onion, sliced into half rings
6 Garlic Cloves, minced
2 cups Mushroom Soup
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
3 dashes of Liquid Smoke
1/3 cup Red Wine, Beef Broth, or Milk
1/4 cup Gorgonzola Cheese (optional)
1 package of Miracle Noodles or noodle of your choice

Saute mushrooms and onions until they start to caramelize, add garlic for about a minute.  Mix in soup, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke.  Add either the wine, broth, or milk to make it more sauce like.  Let cook until desired thickness.  Rinse miracle noodles, warm in microwave for a few seconds.  Top noodles with sauce and cheese.

A very easy recipe and doesn't take much time... the biggest time suck is simply cleaning the mushrooms.  Also, you could use whatever mushrooms you'd like - I bet oyster would be fabulous in this recipe.

My plug - New Girl, with Zooey Deschanel, is hilarious.  Matt hates her and he still watches it and laughs.  She's a total goofball.

He resisted watching this because of her... but you have to Just Keep Tasting, because you never know what you're going to like!!
